Collaboration is the New Competition: Leveraging Regional Resources to increase Career Connected Learning
This session will share a model of regional collaboration for career learning. ICR Future is a regional collaboration designed to connected educators, partners and businesses in an effort to increase career connected learning. The goals of the coalition is to increase knowledge of the high demand careers and prepare students with work ready skills. Four working groups are focused on work-based learning, computer science, problem-based learning and 21st Century Skills, and Career Exploration. The coalition launched a regional hub called ICRFuture.org in an effort the unite the region and provide career resources for parents, students and educators.

Attendees will learn about these new resources, how to leverage them with their students or job seekers, and future plans or industries to be targeted for attention. Printed copies will be made available for attendees to take back to their communities to begin using immediately. Plenty of time will be available for questions from the group as well.
